The Kīlauea Volcano continues to erupt at the summit and from the Puʻu ʻŌʻō vent on its East Rift Zone, on the big island, Hawaii. When the trade winds shift, the Volcanic emissions drift across the Ocean and effect the atmosphere of Maui. The result of the setting Sun's color and this VOG is this beautiful orange glow.
A beautifully balanced and enduring tree that sits on the beach of Honokawai has grown and flourished, despite the never ending erosive powers of the Ocean. As of July of 2017, the tree has succumbed to the Ocean's unrelenting pressure, and it has fallen on it's side. It still lives and more likely than not, will adapt. However, it will never look like this again.
